Your Journey, Step-By-Step
Initial Consultation:
We offer free, personalized consultations with our expert team to clearly understand your specific surrogacy goals, preferences and expectations. During this meeting via phone or Zoom, we will provide you with detailed information about our services, how we match our Intended Parents with the perfect Surrogate, an overview of the process as well as financial and insurance expectations. If you feel that All Love Surrogacy is right for you then we will begin the onboarding process and on to step 2!
Embryo Creation:
If needed, we will help you find a reputable fertility clinic to assist you in the embryo creation. The intended mother or the chosen egg donor (see steps for using an egg donor) will undergo IVF. Medications are given to the intended mother or egg donor to stimulate the ovaries to produce several eggs at once. A fertility doctor retrieves the mature eggs which are then fertilized with sperm from the intended father or a sperm donor. Any healthy embryos are frozen in preparation for the embryo transfer to the surrogate.
Surrogate Selection:
During this step, we will provide you with carefully screened, potential surrogates based on your criteria. You and your personal Surrogate Case Manager will review the surrogate profiles that include their personal background, medical history, pregnancy history, social history, termination stance, vaccination status, compensation request and insurance requirements.Â
Surrogate Match Meeting:
This exciting step will either take place in person or Via Zoom (most common). The purpose of this meeting is to assess compatibility, establish trust and ensure that both parties are comfortable working together toward the common goal of achieving a successful surrogacy outcome. If both parties feel comfortable proceeding they may choose to make the match official!
Agency payment and Escrow:
Once you are officially matched it is time to start setting up your escrow account for the surrogate’s medical expenses and compensation. The first half of the agency fee is also due at this stage.
Medical Process:
We will help your surrogate coordinate her medical screening with your fertility clinic. They will do a detailed evaluation of her medical history, perform necessary lab work and do an ultrasound to visualize her uterus. If everything looks good the fertility clinic will issue a medical clearance.Â
Legal processes:
We will assist both the intended parents and the surrogate in obtaining separate legal representation. An official legal contract will be drawn up and reviewed by both parties with their respective attorneys. Once legal contracts have been completed that is when the final half of the agency fee is due and it will be time to fully fund your escrow account.
Embryo transfer and pregnancy:
Once the legal contracts are signed, the fertility clinic will schedule the embryo transfer cycle. The surrogate will begin medications that she will take to prepare the uterus for transfer. The selected embryo(s) are transferred and the surrogate will take a pregnancy test about 10 days later.
Pregnancy:
The surrogate receives prenatal care throughout the pregnancy and the intended parents are updated throughout the journey. Your ALS Surrogate Case Manager will facilitate communication so that you are always on the same page and are informed about all milestones.
Birth Orders:
When the pregnancy progresses to about 15 weeks, the attorneys will begin the process of obtaining pre-birth orders that will establish parentage for the intended parents (some states only allow this to be done after birth).
Birth:
Congratulations! Your little bundle of joy is born! We will assist you in making sure that any post-birth, birth certificates, or any other necessary documents are filed.Â
